Growing a garden, together!
Across the street from Groundwork Market Garden, five formerly vacant lots are becoming a new community space for growing food, learning, gathering and connecting with neighbors.
The Leslie Street Community Garden is being built with the people who live around it, and we're just getting started. We’re transforming these five vacant lots into a vibrant community garden where neighbors can grow fresh food, share knowledge, and connect with one another.
The Leslie Street Community Garden will feature shared growing spaces, educational workshops, and family-friendly gathering areas designed to strengthen our local food system and community ties.

Want To Grow With Us?
We're looking for neighbors who want to grow with us.
You don't need gardening experience, and getting involved doesn't have to mean taking responsibility for your own garden plot.
There are lots of ways to participate: attend a workshop, help plant or care for shared spaces, volunteer at a garden workday, share a skill, bring your kids to an activity, or simply come spend some time in the garden.
We're especially interested in hearing from neighborhood residents who would like to help shape the future of the space.

This project is made possible through funding from the federal government's American Rescue Plan initiative, granted through the city of Buffalo, to support neighborhood revitalization and community-led development.
