What is CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs foster a mutually beneficial relationship between you (the consumer) + us (the farmers)! Its roots trace back to the 1970's and a man named Booker T. Whatley, a Black farmer, educator and innovator. Whatley founded and promoted the modern CSA model as a way to uplift Black farmers. We are grateful for his innovation and legacy which continues to uplift small scale local agriculture & farm workers.
In the CSA model, members pay an up-front cost which allows the farmers to purchase seeds, materials, and other things necessary for the growing season. In return, members receive a weekly abundance of fresh produce throughout the season, harvested from the field that very same day. Members share in the risk and the reward of farming & enjoy the abundance of each season. For those interested in eating a variety of fresh, local, certified organic veggies each week, it doesn't get much better than this!

Our Program Details
- We use a market-style CSA, which means that members will pay an upfront amount that is then used as store credit at our weekly farm stand. This style allows you to shop for items that best meet your diet, lifestyle, and taste. You can have more freedom, more choice, and enjoy the same great produce you know & love!
- Our farm stand is open on Tuesday evenings from 4-7pm. You can use store credit for anything on our farm stand, which will include a seasonal variety of vegetables, herbs, fruit, mushrooms, flowers, eggs, honey and more each week. With our market style CSA, you don't have to worry about missing a week or sending a friend to pick up your share. You can shop for what you need, when you need it.
- Miss the traditional CSA model or overwhelmed by choice? You can use your credit to purchase pre-packed grab bags at the stand so you can take the decision-making out of it and get an assorted variety of what's in harvest that week.
- With your share you will also:
- Receive our weekly newsletter with farm updates, recipes, and more.
- Have first dibs and discounts when we have bulk items for sale, great for canning & preserving.
- Eat with the seasons, know your farmers, support local agriculture. Win, win, win!
- We offer 3 different share options to best suit your needs and your household's ability to support our farm.
- Cultivator Share: $400
- Harvest Hero Share: $600 *This is equivalent to our former full season 20 week program*
- Solidarity Share. This share is offered at no cost to households experiencing financial hardship and/or food insecurity. Click here to learn more about this program and how you can support or be supported.
Your investment early in the season allows us to:
- purchase necessary items to kickstart our growing season like seeds, potting soil, tools. equipment, etc.
- market our products in the early months, so when the peak growing season arrives we can focus on our work on the fields.
- pay our workers a fair, living wage.
Note: Your CSA account will be good for the 2024 season and will not roll over. We encourage you to use all of your credit within the season. Any leftover amount will be rolled into our Good Neighbors Fund to support Solidarity Shares, our way of working towards a stronger and more equitable local food system.
