What is CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs foster a mutually beneficial relationship between you (the consumer) + us (the farmers)! Its roots trace back to the 1970's and a man named Booker T. Whatley, a Black farmer, educator and innovator. Whatley founded and promoted the modern CSA model as a way to uplift Black farmers. We are grateful for his innovation and legacy which continues to uplift small scale local agriculture & farm workers.
In the CSA model, members pay an up-front cost which allows the farmers to purchase seeds, materials, and other things necessary for the growing season. In return, members receive a weekly abundance of fresh produce throughout the season, harvested from the field that very same day. Members share in the risk and the reward of farming & enjoy the abundance of each season. For those interested in eating a variety of fresh, local, certified organic veggies each week, it doesn't get much better than this!

**NOTE: Because we are an adorably small urban farm, there are certain things that just don’t make sense for us to grow. In an instance where there is an item we would like to provide but do not have, we team up with our friends at other local, organic farms to bring you the things we can’t! The majority of what we provide in our shares will be grown on the farm, but if we do get another item from off-farm, we will always be 100% transparent, and it will always be organic and locally sourced!
