Frequently Asked Questions
.WHEN DOES THE SEASON START AND END?
Our farm stand is open for about 20 weeks, every Tuesday starting the 1st week of June through the last week of October. It is possible, depending on the season, that we start or finish the season a few weeks earlier or later, but in that case we will let you know!
I CAN'T MAKE IT ON TUESDAYS FROM 4-7PM. IS THERE ANOTHER DAY/TIME THAT YOU ARE OPEN?We are a small staff and we spend much of our week tending to the fields. Currently, we are only open for business on Tuesday nights from 4-7pm and do not offer alternative hours. We hope we will be able to expand our offerings in the future!
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
When you decide to become a CSA member, you are making a commitment to our farm. Because we really count on that commitment, there are no refunds, full or partial. If needed, you may find someone to transfer your membership to, but payment and coordination would be your sole responsibility. If something unexpected happens, you’re always welcome to reach out to us, and we’ll help if we can.
WILL MY CSA CREDIT ROLL OVER INTO NEXT SEASON?
No, credits do not roll over. We encourage you to use all the funds in your account during the current season. Any remaining amount will be put towards our Good Neighbors Fund to further our vision of a more just and equitable food system in Buffalo.

What produce is available will depend on what is in season that week. We also collaborate with other local farms to offer eggs, honey, meat and other whole food items. Check out our About Us page to see a list of what we're growing this year.
IS YOUR FARM ORGANIC?
Yes, Groundwork Market Garden is a certified USDA organic farm.
DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN BAG?
Yes and no! We strongly encourage everyone to bring their own reusable bags in order to cut down on waste. You’ll want to bring sturdy bags that can handle, for example, a pound of potatoes, 5 pounds of tomatoes and a jar of honey. Nonetheless, we always provide our members with brown paper bags if needed.
DO YOU ACCEPT VOLUNTEERS?
We do not currently accept volunteers on our farm. We may host Community Work Days in the future and you can stay up to date by signing up for a newsletter or checking out our Events page.
