GOOD FOOD FOR OUR CITY OF GOOD NEIGHBORS
Everyone has a right to access & afford fresh, nutritious food. We understand that various life circumstances can make it challenging to afford fresh whole foods. Additionally, we acknowledge the institutionalized and historical inequities and barriers to access that have disproportionately affected Buffalo's East side residents, particularly those who are Black and people of color. To respond to the diverse needs of our community, we are inspired by the example of Soul Fire Farm and other similar organizations, and we offer our Solidarity Share program to residents in the City of Good Neighbors.
Solidarity CSA Shares are provided at no-cost for households that are currently facing financial hardship and/or food insecurity. The shares are fully subsidized by contributions from individuals, companies, non-profit organizations, and grant funding. Anyone who identifies as low-income and nutrition-insecure is invited to apply. In other words, if it is challenging for your household to access and afford fresh vegetables, fruits, and other whole foods- we invite you to apply for a share! Solidarity Shares are currently limited to residents of the City of Buffalo.
Application does not guarantee a Solidarity Share. Applications will be accepted based on funds available. If applications exceed the amount of funds available, members will be selected based upon highest need, with priority going to residents of the 14211 zip code.
If you are currently in a position to contribute, please consider making a tax-deductible donation of any amount to our Good Neighbors Fund & help your neighbors in need of support!

My business/workplace is interested in contributing. Do you accept corporate donations?
Yes! If you own a business or work for a business interested in making a contribution, you can do so via this link to our Good Neighbors Fund. Please reach out to us via email if you'd like us to add your logo to our website’s list of contributing partners!
What impact will my contribution make?
A donation of any size will help us to increase fresh food accessibility for those who need it & will allow us to pay our farmers a fair, living wage. For reference, we recommend a full-sized share for a family of 3-5, which costs $600. The average price at our farm stand is $3/lb. This would provide roughly 200 lbs, or 1,200 servings of fresh, organic whole foods throughout the year. When you donate, you’re investing in a climate-resilient future. Our farmers are stewards of the land, using regenerative practices that sequester carbon, rebuild soil health and increase biodiversity. The practices require careful planning, hard labor, skilled knowledge and significant financial investment. As a result, our prices reflect the true cost of food that’s grown with regard for the earth.
